Gisele A. (Savoie) Desmarais

Gisele A. (Savoie) Desmarais, 66, of Horton St., Fall River, died Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Rhode Island, Providence. She was the wife of Richard O. Desmarais. Born in Drummondville, P.Q., Canada, the daughter of Bibiane (Fontaine) Savoie of Drummondville and the late Henri Savoie, she lived in Fall River for many years and in Somerset for several years. A member of Notre Dame Parish, Fall River, she was educated in Drummondville and had taught school there many years ago. Besides her husband of 43 years and mother she is survived by a son, Daniel R. Desmarais of Fall River; a daughter, Claudette G. Desmarais of Fall River; 2 brothers, Gilles Savoie of Drummondville and Andre Savoie of Montreal, P.Q., Canada; a sister, Denise Aube of Drummondville and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late France L. Desmarais. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
