Gilda Pragana

Gilda Pragana, 88, of Fall River, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the daughter of the late David and Elvira Pragana. She also was lovingly raised by her second mother, the late Angelina Pragana. She leaves two brothers, Arthur Pregana and his wife Florence, of Swansea, and David Pragana, Jr. and his wife Dorothy, of Westport, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A seamstress until her retirement, Gilda was employed at Harlee Mfg. and Lowenstein Dress. She was an active parishioner of St. Louis Church in Fall River, receiving a Marian Medal from the Diocese of Fall River in 1992 for her longstanding service to her parish. A funeral Mass for family and friends will be celebrated Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River. There are no calling hours.
