Gilberto M. Cativo

Gilberto M. Cativo, 67, of Tiverton, beloved husband of Mary F. (daSilva) Cativo and son of Amelia (Ferreira) Cativo of Bristol, RI and the late Manuel M. Cativo, entered into rest Wednesday, September 23, 2015. A self-employed contractor he was also employed by Newport Shipyard. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Portsmouth Portuguese American Citizens Club. He was the devoted father of Michael A. Cativo of Rumford, RI, Gilbert M. Cativo, Jr. of Tiverton, Richard Cativo of Fall River and David C. Cativo of Tiverton; the brother of John Cativo of Pawtucket, RI, Hugo Cativo of Attleboro, Mary Borges of Little Compton, Joseph Cativo and Manuel Cativo, both of Bristol, RI and the late Manuel Cativo; and also leaves ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Following cremation a visitation will be held Saturday, October 3, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
