Gertrude (Vieira) Valentino

Gertrude (Vieira) Valentino, 93, of Tiverton, wife of the late Joseph S. Valentino, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024.

She was employed by Humphrey’s Oil Company.

Born in Fall River, Gert lived most of her life in Tiverton and was a member of St. Christopher’s Parish.

Gert was a kind and loving person. Her greatest pride and accomplishment was her family. Gert treasured her time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

She was the mother of four children, Steven Valentino (wife Ann Marie), Catherine Porada (husband Stanley), and Helen Reilly (husband Michael), all of Tiverton and was the mother of the late Thomas Valentino.

She was the grandmother of Kyle, Aaron, and Ryan Valentino, Jared Porada, Sarah Pereira, Kate Raposa, and Brett Reilly; was the great-grandmother of twelve; and the aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Gert was the sister of the late Daniel Vieira (late former wife Alice Belcher) and Lawrence Vieira (late wife Delores).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Monday, January 22, at 10:00 AM at St. Christopher’s Church, Main Road Tiverton.  Burial will be private.
