Germano Medeiros

Germano Medeiros, 79, of Fall River, husband of Maria T. (Branco) Medeiros, died at home, Monday, December 3, 2012 surrounded by his family. Born in Pedreira do Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Azores, he immigrated to Canada in 1957 working for the Canadian National Railroad, immigrating to the United States in 1968. A member of Local 610 Laborer's Union, he worked in construction, retiring in 1995. Besides his wife of 54 years, he leaves six children, Irene Rego and her husband Jose of Westport, Dennis T. Medeiros and his wife Paulina, Leonor T. Medeiros-Ciccketti and her husband Kenney, David T. Medeiros and his wife Debra, Ileen T. Costa and Lori T. Medeiros, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Joshua, Shayne (wife Jen), Daniel and Alisia Medeiros, Jessica, Victoria and John Dennis Rego, Alexander and Gina Ciccketti, Alyssa Medeiros, Michael Costa and Zackery Johnson; sisters, Josephine Vasconcellos and Ilda Monteiro, both of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Manuel F. and Maria (Brandao) Medeiros, and the brother of the late Manuel, John, Diniz and Jose Medeiros and the uncle of the late Ronald Medeiros. His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
