Germaine Bastille

Germaine (Bouffard) Bastille, 95, of Somerset, formerly of Framingham and Fall River, widow of Joseph A. Bastille, Sr., died Tuesday, March 5, 2013. A devoted wife and mother, she was also employed by Jordan Marsh at Shopper's World, Framingham for many years. Creative with her hands, she was excellent at painting, crocheting, knitting and sewing. She was an avid card player. She leaves 2 children Joseph A. Bastille, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY and Gloria C. O'Donoghue and her husband Kevin of Brisbane, Australia; 2 grandsons, Ryan O'Donoghue and his wife Nicole and Michael O'Donoghue and his wife Katie, all of Australia and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Gaudias and Alvine (Ferland) Bouffard and the sister of the late Eva Cayer, Alice Vermette, Aldea Goulet, Diana Michaud, Ida Lauzon, Marie Louise Guay, Merina Vincent, Marie Rose Jean and Albert, Armand, Henry, Leo and Wilfred Bouffard. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 9:30 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 8:45 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
