Gerard A. "Gerry" Deslauriers

Gerard A. "Gerry" Deslauriers, 83, of Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Winslow St., Fall River and Ocala, Florida, husband of the late Laurette A. (Houde) Deslauriers, passed away peacefully Monday, July 12, 2010. He would have celebrated his 84th. birthday on July 19. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was employed by the Naval Underwater Systems Center, Newport. A member of the Retired Retailers Assn., Tiverton, he enjoyed his life in Florida, traveling and Foxwoods. He leaves, 5 children, Paul G. Deslauriers of Bristol, RI, Lorraine A. Caine (husband Leo) of Fall River, Pauline M. Ellison (husband Raymond) of Mineola, FL; Claire A. Halladay (husband Jeffrey) of East Providence, and Raymond R. Deslauriers (wife Christine) of Fall River, grandchildren, Karyn L. Smith (husband Robert Wykoff) and Matthew R. Smith, Amy L. Deslauriers and Zachary R. Halladay; a brother, Armand Deslauriers of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Robert A. Deslauriers, the son of the late Onisphore and Marie Louise (Croteau) Deslauriers and the brother of the late Zerilda Cantara and Cecile Booth. His funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Bernard Church, Assonet, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
