Gerard S. Cote

Gerard S. Cote, 80, of Oliver St., Fall River, husband of the late Irene (Messier) Cote and son of the late Emile and Rose (Riendeau) Cote, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007. A tree service foreman for 40 years, former Boy Scout Leader and member and former collector of St. Anne Parish he lived in Quebec, Canada for many years and in Fall River for the past 50 years. Survivors include daughters, Diane Thibodeaux and her husband Dale of Church Point, LA, Jacinthe Barry and her husband Robert of Warwick, RI, Lucie Standish and her husband Jeffrey of Mattawam, MI and Bernadette Becker and her husband Carl of Swansea; George Cote and Tina of Fall River and Maximim Cote and his wife Jeanne of Tiverton; sisters, Lise and Monique Couture, both of St. Hyacinthe, P.Q., Canada; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Doris Banville and Germain, Fernand, Cyr, Rosaire and Sister Jean D'Arc Cote. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM.Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
