Gerard W. "Jerry" Brodeur, 75, of Tiverton, formerly of Fall River, husband of Mary Louise (Chippendale) Brodeur, died Sunday, June 15, 2008.
He served in the Navy and was employed by Mason's Furniture, Fall River, Newport Furniture and J.T. O'Connell, Middletown, Plumber's Supply, Fall River and Viti Mercedes, Tiverton. A former scoutmaster and CYO advisor, he was a member of St. Joseph Men's Club of St.Christopher Parish and the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he leaves, 2 sons, Christopher Brodeur and his wife Barbara of Swansea and Mark G. Brodeur and his wife Deborah of Bristol, RI; 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, Mikhela, Nicholas and Hillary Brodeur; 6 siblings, Terry Sleeper of Newport, Bea Ouellette of Whitingsville, MA, Doris Helger and Armand Brodeur, both of Tiverton, Germaine Brodeur of Wentzville, MO and Albert "Butch" Brodeur of Swansea and nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Gelinas) Brodeur and the brother of the late Alfred Brodeur, Juliette Conway, Rose Cote-Teal and Louise Brodeur.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Christopher Church, Main Rd., Tiverton, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
Visitation, Sunday 3:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA AND BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com
