Gerard O. "Jerry" Belanger

Gerard O. "Jerry" Belanger, 86, of Fall River, husband of Othilia "Tillie" (Ricardo) Belanger, entered into rest Sunday, February 28, 2016. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a former employee of Pioneer Finishing/Duro Industries and a Crossing Guard at the former Fowler School. Besides his wife of 56 years, he leaves a son, Mark W. Belanger of Fall River; sisters-in-law, Veronica and Agnes Ricardo and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Louis and Alice (Fortin) Belanger and the brother of the late Doris Thomson, Aline Allen and Raymond, Maurice and Norman Belanger. Jerry's family would like to thank the staff of Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Center, especially East 2, the staff of Atwood 5, Charlton Memorial Hospital and Dr. James Witkowski. His funeral will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
