Georgette E. De (Lapointe) Villers

Georgette E. (Lapointe) de Villers, 89, of Westport, widow of Dr. Paul R. de Villers, died Friday, December 20, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Isidore Antoine and Marie-Anne (Thibeault) Lapointe, she lived in Fall River until 1968 and was a graduate of Dominican Academy, Class of 1942 and a member of the Friends of St. Anne Hospital and the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of St. Anne Parish. She leaves three sons, Paul de Villers and his wife Susan of Fall River, George de Villers and his wife Nancy of Manchester, CT and Roger de Villers of Westport; four grandchildren, Max, Kathryn and Alex de Villers and Ernest de Villers and his wife Ashley; a great-granddaughter, Natalie de Villers and nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Lorraine Raposo, Rita Johnson, Dorothy Farrell and Doris Lachance. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
