George J. Proyous

George J. Proyous, 65, of Fall River, died Monday, March 2, 2009. He was employed by the former Nira and Johnson's restaurants and High Point Paper Box Co. He was past vice president of Chapter 138 Order of AHEPA and a member of the Antonios Mingas Chapter of the Pan Macedonian Assn., HAND Club of Greater Fall River and Highland Heights Senior Citizens Club. He was the son of the late John and Malamate (Botskare) Proyous; the brother of Gus Proyous (wife Roula) of Cranston, RI and Agnes Desses (husband John) of Exeter, NH and the uncle of John Proyous, Ann DeGuilio, Marilyn Fernandes, Chrissy Desses-Taylor and Melanie Desses-Bernard. His funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
