George L. Martin

George L. Martin, 80, of Swansea, formerly of Birch St., Fall River, husband of the late Jane H. (Pizio) Martin, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008. A 26 year employee of the Fall River Water Department, he cherished time with his family. He leaves 2 daughters, Linda Botelho and her husband Ronald and Christine Hoag and her husband James, all of Swansea; grandchildren, Stacy Hoag of Quincy and Jamie Hoag of Washington; a sister, Linda Depin of Swansea and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Manuel L. and Theresa (Rebello) Martin and the brother of the late Alice Costa, Mary Soares, Dorothy Vieira and Beatrice Silvia. The family is grateful to his great niece Erin Lavoie for the excellent care provided to their father. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
