George E. Letendre

George E. Letendre, 88, of No. Attleboro, formerly of Fall River, husband of the late Irene (Valcourt) Letendre, died Friday, July 11, 2008.
An Army veteran of WW II and world traveler, he was employed by the Massachusetts Highway Department.
He leaves a son, George H. Letendre and his wife Carol of No. Attleboro; a daughter-in-law Charlene Letendre of Fall River; 6 grandchildren, Dean, Kurt and Todd Letendre, Joy Packer and Michelle and Brian Letendre; 9 great-grandchildren and siblings, Henry Letendre of Fall River, Alice Pinard of Middletown, CT and Irene Niedbala of Tiverton, RI and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late George and Alice (Belisle) Letendre; father of the late Arnold L. Letendre and brother of the late Eva Pacheco.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 11:30 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visitation, Sunday 2:00 t0 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA AND BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
