George H. King

April 5, 1911 — February 4, 2006

George H. "Topcoat" King, 94, of Maple St., Westport, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Sacred Heart Home, New Bedford. Born in Portsmouth, RI, the son of the late Manuel and Isabella (Paiva) Pimental, he lived in Greater Boston for many years and in Westport for the past 10 years. An Army veteran of WW II and retired fish cutter, he was an avid bowler and played soccer with the Ponta Delgada Club many years ago. Survivors include 2 sisters, Isabella Mello of Fall River and Louise Armburg and her husband Walter W. Armburg, Sr. of Somerset and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John King, Victor Pimental, Arthur King, Andrew King and Margaret Pacheco. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday morning prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown MA 02472.
