obituary: GEORGE LINCOLN CROOK, JR. George Lincoln Crook, Jr., 77, of Lakeville, formerly of So. Main St. Assonet, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Saint Luke's Hospital. New Bedford. Born in Fall River, the son of the late George and Lida Mae (Russell) Crook, he lived in Assonet for 22 years, moving to Lakeville 5 months ago. He was employed by A. H. Robins Co., Fall River, retiring in 1996 and also worked as a carpenter for Albert Beaudoin Contractors, Fall River. In his youth he joined the Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout, later joining the National Guard. A graduate of B.M.C. High School, Fall River, his hobbies included square dancing and roller skating. He is survived by a brother in law, Robert E. Deschenes, Sr. of Fall River, and 3 nephews, Robert E. Deschenes, Jr. of Westport, Richard P. Deschenes of Lakeville and Roger P. Deschenes of Fall River. He was the brother of the late Betty Ann Deschenes.
