George A. Cormier, 77, of Fall River, formerly of Tiverton, husband of Patricia (Almeida) Cormier, died Thursday, November 27, 2008.
A co-founder of Cormier and Sons Moving Co. and Fall River School Department security guard, he enjoyed dancing, fishing and camping.
Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves, 7 children, David Aguiar (wife Melanie) of New Hampshire, George Cormier (wife Felicia) of Nevada, Kenneth Cormier (wife Tracey) of Maine and Gail Cormier, Michelle Cormier, Steven Cormier (wife Grace) and Brian Cormier (wife Paula) all of Fall River; grandchildren, a great-grandson; siblings, Jean Cormier of No. Carolina, Linda Hartman of So. Dakota, Roger Cormier and Paul "Butch" Cormier, both of Newport, RI and Charlotte Oliveira of Swansea and nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Michael Cormier, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Levesque) Cormier and the brother of the late Janet Hambly and Robert, Roland and Joseph "Tony" Cormier.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS.
