George J. Bouchard

June 13, 1941 — March 8, 2021

George J. Bouchard, 79, of Fall River, husband of the late JoAnn K. (Kokoszka) Bouchard, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021.

He was a Warehouse Foreman in the beverage industry for many years. George was an avid collector and treasure hunter, particularly Coke products, NASCAR and classic toys. He enjoyed yard sales, flea markets and classic car shows. If you needed something, he could find it at a yard sale, even his granddaughter’s first car! For many years he enjoyed bowling and was a member of Armand’s Variety Bowling League. As an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country for six years and was also a member of the National Guard. George was everyone’s “go to” guy, whether you needed a handyman or someone to run an errand. He enjoyed going to lunch with his siblings, but his greatest joy in life was being known as everyone’s Pepere. From the time his grandchildren were born, “Camp Pepere” was open for business. He taught them how to swim, ride a bike, change a tire or the oil in their car. He was their best friend and confidante. He told them no matter what, persistence, determination and pure grit will get you through life’s challenges.

He was the son of the late Alfred T. and Beatrice (Ross) Bouchard, who were the parents of the “California Street Bouchard’s”. As one of fourteen children, he was the brother of the late Beatrice Madore, Julie Cadrin, Paul, Alfred, Henry, Edward, Phillip and Dianne Bouchard.

He leaves two children, Alan Bouchard (wife Leonora) and Sharon Gannon (husband Edward); three grandchildren, Genevieve Gannon, Briar Rose Bouchard and Jason Gannon; five siblings, Germaine Petit, Louise Slean, Pauline Chretien, Cecile Pontes and Arthur Bouchard; many nieces and nephews.
