G. Jean (Gosson) Macomber

G. Jean (Gosson) Macomber, 87, formerly of Borden Place West, 181 So. Main St., Fall River, died Monday, July 3, 2006. She was the wife of the late Alfred H. Macomber. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Terry) Gosson, she lived in Fall River most of her life and in Somerset for 10 years. A former ILGWU shop steward and member of UNITE, she was employed by M & G Manufacturing. A private elderly caregiver, she was president of the Borden Place West Tenant Council for 16 years and was affiliated with Meals on Wheels. Survivors include 2 sons, William Macomber and his wife Linda of Rehoboth and Robert Macomber and his wife Arlene of Casselberry, Florida; a daughter, Judith Sweet and her husband William of DeLeon Springs, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alvin, Walter, Ernest, George, Freddie, Edward, Clinton and Louis Gosson, Evelyn Greene and Cora Oliveira. Private funeral arrangements are by the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
