Frederick Gutowski

Frederick "Fred" Gutowski, 78, of Fall River, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Saint Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Couture) Gutowski. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Leon and Stela (Pela) Gutowski. He owned and operated the former Polish Cooperative Store and was employed by Fall River Packing Co. A navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tiverton and Good Shepherd Parish. Besides his wife of 41 years, he leaves 2 stepsons, Edward Frazier (and his wife Tina) and Paul Frazier, all of Fall River; a stepdaughter, Colleen Thiboutot (and her husband Paul) of Fall River; a sister, Lugina Farrow of New Hampshire; 6 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stanley Gutowski and Mary Ouellette. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 9:00 AM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
