In his younger years he enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, joyfully created radio-controlled planes and boats. He enjoyed many years of camping and several trips to Europe with his wife. In his later years he entertained himself by riding his motorized scooter while listening to big band music, looked forward to dinners out, family gatherings where he debated topics of the day, and especially looked forward to visits with Joseph Voltas, a dear family friend.
The last year and a half of his life was spent as a resident of Catholic Memorial Nursing Home. The family wishes to extend their deep thankfulness and gratitude for the kind, compassionate care shown to Frank by all the staff on Unit 2 as well as those from Southcoast Hospice who participated in keeping Frank comfortable in his final days.
Part of Frank's legacy will be one of a man who was a reading enthusiast who was extremely knowledgeable about multiple subjects.
He was a brilliant communicator. Many a room will be a bit quieter without his presence.
A celebration of Frank's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to:
