Frank Joseph Aguiar, Jr., 97, of Tiverton, passed away on Thursday November 28, 2024. He was the husband of Lorraine Ann (Cantin) Aguiar, with whom he shared 74 years of marriage.
Born on April 23, 1927, in Tiverton, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Frank, Sr. and Mary (Perry) Aguiar.
A United States Navy Veteran of World War II, Frank was recognized not only for his professionalism but also for his hard-working nature. Frank had exceptional skills as a master mechanic and unwavering dedication to his work at Globe Manufacturing. He had a remarkable ability to fix anything that came his way, embodying the spirit of perseverance and ingenuity. Outside of his professional life, he found immense joy in nurturing his garden and sharing its bounty.
Frank’s love for the great outdoors extended to camping, where he created countless memories with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing golf, relishing the camaraderie and friendly competition that came with it. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Besides his loving wife, Frank is survived by his three children: Stephen Aguiar, Michael Aguiar, and Susan (husband Carmine) Petrarca. He was a proud grandfather to Elizabeth, Thomas, Joseph, Melissa, Nicolette, Amanda, Kirsten, and Gregory. In addition, he leaves behind eight great-grandchildren who brought him endless happiness. Frank is also survived by his brother, Henry Aguiar.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Aguiar; and several of his siblings: Mary Andrade, Jesse Aguiar, Alice Amaral, Gertrude Duford, and George Aguiar.
Frank Joseph Aguiar, Jr. will be fondly remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his industrious spirit, and his generous heart. His legacy will live on in the cherished memories shared by those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 8:15AM to 9:15AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00AM at Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson Street, Tiverton, RI.
