Francis J. Trenholme

Francis J. Trenholme, 82, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Claudette J. (Lapointe) Trenholme, with whom he shared a loving partnership that spanned 59 years. 

He was the son of the late Willard and Germaine (Landry) Trenholme.

Francis was a mathematician at the Newport Naval Base for many years. He was an avid golfer and reader. He spent countless hours immersed in his large collection of stamps and coins, a testament to his appreciation for history and culture. His passion for collectibles extended into his professional life as well, where he thrived as co-owner and operator of Collectible Investments. This venture not only fulfilled his personal interests but also allowed him to share his love for collectibles with others.

Besides his wife, Francis is survived by his two children, Kevin J. (wife Joyce) Trenholme and Karen J. (husband Gregory) DeAngelis. His grandchildren, Erika DeAngelis and Hayden DeAngelis, Ryan (wife Laura) Auclair, and Christie (husband Derek) Wilson; and his four great-grandchildren. Francis was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred and Willard Trenholme. 

Francis will be fondly remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his industrious spirit, and his generous heart. His legacy will live on in the cherished memories shared by those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Church, 30 South Main St., Assonet.

Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
