Francis X. “Frannie” Rouleau, 80, of Berkley, formerly of Fall River, passed away peacefully at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his daughter Kerry and son in law Carl by his side.
He was the longtime companion of the late Eleanor (Vanasse) Sprague.
Prior to his retirement, Francis was employed by the circulation department of the Fall River Herald News and Globe Manufacturing as a pipe fitter foreman for over 30 years. In his younger years, he attended St. Peter and Paul School and played CYO Basketball and was a Graduate of the B.M.C. Durfee High School Class of 1959.
He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at the Montaup Country Club and enjoyed fishing, skiing and sports.
Francis enjoyed his daily rides to Dunkin Donuts with his faithful companion boxer’s Baylee and Bruno.
He was the beloved father of Kerry Farias (husband Carl); had the honor of raising his companion Eleanor’s children, Brenda Sprague (companion George Tillson), Stephanie Silvia (husband Kenneth), Stephen Sprague; and the late Frank “Chip” Sprague (wife Rosalyn) and Ellie Sprague;
He was the biological father of Carrie Matherne (husband Mike);
Beloved Gramps of Nathan Farias and Bretton Farias; Grandfather of Logan Lyons (wife Lauren), Nick Lyons and Michaela Matherne; Great-grampy of Landon Farias; brother-in-law of Thomas Reis; he also leaves nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Barbara Reis;
son of the late Francis and Mary (Sullivan) Rouleau.
