Francis E. Powell, Jr.

Francis E. “Frank” Powell, Jr. 84, of Fall River, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.   He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Stone) Powell. They shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, Francis was the son of the late Francis E. and Loretta (Montigny) Powell.

Now retired, Frank had been employed as an electrician working in both the residential and commercial fields.  He also worked at Whites of Westport.

Frank served in the  Army  during the Vietnam Era.

His hobbies included fishing and bowling.

He served as the recording secretary for St. John’s Fishing Club and Committee Chairperson for Boy Scouts, Troop 100, Wesport.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Scott Pacheco (wife Krystal) of Fall River;

and a grandson Seth Pacheco;  Frank was also the grandfather of the late Trinity A. Pacheco.

He also leaves two siblings Donald Powell and Martha Lavoie; a nephew, Jason (wife Karen), and a niece, Jennifer Powell.

His visitation will be held Sunday, August 14, 2022  from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St., Fall River. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Burial, with military honors, will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery.
