Florence (Mcdonald) Britland

Florence (McDonald) Britland, 87, of Greenville, RI, formerly of Somerset, Swansea and Port Orange, FL, widow of Edward V. Britland, died Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was the mother of Edward M. Britland (wife Heidi) of Midlothian, VA, Patricia Bestwick (husband Frank) of Coventry, RI, Nancy Cook (husband Dan) of Pleasant View, Utah, Thomas Britland (wife Carolyn) of Cherry Hill, NJ, Joseph Britland (wife Karen) of Assonet and the late Jean Shaw (former husband Ron of Mansfield, MA) and John Britland and is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, December 27, at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Florence supported causes for underprivileged children and elder care and the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations to these causes be considered.
