Florence "Flo" (Santerre) Almeida

Florence "Flo" (Santerre) Almeida, 85, of Oakland St., Fall River, widow of Antone "Tony" Almeida (founder of Almeida Electrical), died Tuesday, September 14, 2010. A member of the Country Club of New Bedford, she enjoyed golf and bowling and also traveling. She leaves, 3 sons, Douglas A. Almeida and his wife Janet of Portsmouth, RI, Dennis A. Almeida and his wife Suzanne St.Amour of Little Compton, RI and Wayne F. Almeida and his wife Michele of Fall River; grandchildren, Alissa Yngve and her husband Eric, Holli Fines and her husband Mathew, Mary Beth, Julian and Christopher Almeida and Colin Almeida and his wife Jillian Santos-Almeida; a great-grandson, Mason Fines; siblings, Albert Santerre and Edna Shaker, both of Fall River and Jeannette Viveiros of Somerset; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Edmond and Fabiola (Belanger) Santerre and the sister of the late Alphonse and Raymond Santerre, Diana Barboza, Imelda Jewell, Olivine Fonseca, Emma Leite and Irene Ladeira. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
