Fernando Ponte Mauricio

Fernando Ponte Mauricio, 85, of Fall River, husband of Bernadette (Lopes) Mauricio, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Born in Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Acores, he served in the Portuguese Army. He was a cabinet maker for Avery Proval and he played soccer in Portugal for Aguiar in Ribeira Grande. In his spare time he also enjoyed traveling.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he leaves three children, Steven Mauricio (wife Kelly) of Pawtucket, Rodney Mauricio (wife Karin) of Athens, GA, and Linda Reeves (husband Ron) of AL; and seven grandchildren, Steven, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Tyler, Maia and Margalit. He was the son of the late John and Mary Olivia (Ponte) Mauricio.

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River.  (Across from Kennedy Park)

His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 13, at Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, at 10:00 A.M.
