Fernando Duarte Albergaria

Fernando Duarte Albergaria, 81, of Somerset, husband of Margarida (Santos) Albergaria, entered into rest surrounded by his family, Saturday, March 19, 2016, Born in Maia, St. Michael, Azores, the son of the late Jacinto and Hortensia (Ferraz) Albergaria, he served in the Merchant Marine in Portugal. He came to the United States to work for Tasca Ford and later owned and operated the former Fernando's Auto Service, Fall River and Blue & White Transport. He enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends. Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves 11 children, Richard Albergaria (wife Neomi) of Somerset, Fernando Albergaria of Taunton, Carlos Albergaria of Somerset, Peter Albergaria of Fall River, Michael Albergaria, Ana Aguiar (husband Francisco) and Mary Korzeniowski (husband Kevin), all of Tiverton, Elizabeth Milan (husband George) of Somerset, Suzanna Romano (husband Carlos) of Bellingham and Emanuel Albergaria and Margaret Albergaria, both of Somerset; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Leonor Batista of Lisbon, Francisco Albergaria and Maria Botelho, both of Fall River, Margarida Lucas of St. Michael, Azores and Luis Albergaria of Narragansett, RI; and nieces and nephews. Funeral, Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. John of God Church, Somerset at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd. Fall River, MA. Visitation, Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
