Fernanda (Simas Quental) Piedade, 84, of Charles St., Fall River, formerly of St. Michael, Azores, died Saturday, March 15, 2008.
She leaves her husband Manuel T. Piedade; children, Fernanda Ferreira and her husband Antonio, Carlos Simas and his wife Cecilia, all of Fall River, Cremilde Medeiros and her husband Jose Luis of Somerset, Antonio Piedade and his wife Judy of Assonet, Edie Oliveira and her husband Larry of Rochester; grandchildren, Sandy Gallant, Deborah and Jeffrey Ferreira, Cathy, Tanisha and Chastine Medeiros, Briana and Katya Simas, Pedro, Sara, Paul, Simone and Gabriel Piedade and Schyler Oliveira; great-grandchildren, Ebin Lagasse and Maximus Gallant and a sister, Sister Margarida Simas of Lisbon, Portugal. She was the daughter of the late Agusto Costa Simas and Ermelinda (Quental) Simas and the sister of the late Jose, Antone, Jacinto and Angela Simas.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shephard Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 9:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA at the rear of funeral home.
