Eveline (Mercier) Gagnon

Eveline (Mercier) Gagnon, 96, formerly of Thomas St. and Bardsley St., Fall River, widow of Joseph T. Gagnon, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Southpointe Nursing Home. She was employed at the former Mount St. Joseph School and Vaillancourt's Variety Store and was a member of the Women's Guild and Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the former Notre Dame Parish. She was past-treasurer of St. Anne Chapter 20, Association Canado Americaine. She leaves 3 sons, Ronald E. Gagnon and his wife Anne of Florida, Raymond O. Gagnon and his wife Janice of Maryland and Ross H. Gagnon of Little Compton; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Theresa "Terry" Marcoux of Fall River and Henry Mercier of Westport; and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard T. Gagnon; the daughter of the late Leonard "Leo" and Lucienne (Simoneau) Mercier; and the sister of the late Leopold, Patrick, Arthur, Robert, Normand and Roger Mercier. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Bernadette Church, Eastern Ave., at 9:00 AM.
