Esmeralda (Oliveira) Arruda, 58, of Haffards St., Fall River, fiancée of Jose Medeiros, died Sunday, April 25, 2010. Born in Santa Cruz, Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Arruda) Oliveira, and sister of the late Juvinila Costa, she was employed by Tillotson Rubber Co. and Quaker Fabrics. Besides her fiancé, she leaves 4 children, Domingos Arruda, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Kansas, Fernando Arruda and his wife Glenda, Roger Arruda and his wife Cidalia, and Melanie Pabon and her husband Miguel, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Domingos Arruda, III (fiancée Laurel Baker), Natasha Costa (husband J. Miguel), Erica Souza, Brandon, Yazlyn, Kara, Melissa, Alysha and Brian Arruda, Alexis Hamilton, Anthony Espinola, and Jesse, Janessa, Jocelyn Pabon, and Ashley Pavao; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Anycia Costa, and Ethan and Evan Januario; brothers, Custadio and Idalecio Oliveira and nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church, at 11:30 AM. Cremation to follow.
