Ernestina (Pacheco) daCosta, 83, of Fall River, .
wife of the late Jose daCosta, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017.

She was an active participant of the Senior Citizens Group of Santo Christo Parish. A loving and devoted homemaker and babysitter, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing.

She leaves five children, Ana M. Freire and her husband Fernando of Berkley, MA and Jose M. Costa and his wife Leonor, Joao G. Costa and his wife Heather, Duarte DaCosta and his wife Luisa and Maria Fernandes and her husband Emmanuel, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Derick, Jessica, Michael, Emmanuel, Jr., Marlene, Alexandria, Sergio, Adriana, Joao, Jr. and Santino; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Sienna; and nieces and nephews. Born in Ponta Garca, St. Michael, Azores, she was the last surviving of 12 children of the late Manuel Bento Pacheco and Maria Rosa Moniz.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 11:00 AM. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
