Ernest A. "Ernie" Durfee, Jr.

Ernest A. "Ernie" Durfee, Jr., 59 of Fall River, formerly of Tiverton and Somerset, entered into rest Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was employed by Raytheon Co., Portsmouth and Shaws Supermarkets and enjoyed gardening. He was the former husband of Elaine (Viveiros) Durfee of Somerset; the father of Jared and Jenna Durfee, both of Fall River and the late Jonathan Durfee; the son of the late Ernest and Dorothy "Dot" (Griffault) Durfee and the brother of Donald Durfee (wife Clara) of Bristol, RI and Donna Makuch (Husband Ted), Paula Wiley (husband Gerry) and Marguerite Pelletier (husband David), all of Fall River; and also leaves many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Thursday at 7:45 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Dominic Church, Swansea, at 9:00 a.m. Visitation, Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Burial will be private.
