Emilia (Correia) Desrosiers, 87, of Fall River, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Desrosiers, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Taunton, Emilia was the daughter of the late Armand and Philomena Correia.
Emilia had a deep and abiding faith, which was evident in her love for attending church. She found solace and joy in her spiritual life, often sharing her faith journey with others. Emilia also had a zest for life that was contagious; she enjoyed visiting the casino, where she delighted in the thrill of games and the fellowship found there.
Her passion for cooking was well-known among family and friends. Emilia took great pleasure in preparing meals for anyone who would come to her home, always ensuring that everyone left with a satisfied appetite and a full heart. She welcomed guests with open arms, believing that food brought people together. Emilia had a fondness for dining out as well, relishing the experience of trying new cuisines and enjoying time with loved ones.
In her leisure time, Emilia found joy in watching her favorite show, "Reba." The humor and heartwarming stories resonated deeply with her, providing moments of laughter and enjoyment that she often shared with those around her.
Emilia is survived by her children, Deborah St. Pierre of Swansea, Jean St. Pierre, Janice Beck, Sharon Almeida, Laurie Medeiros, and Maureen Rodrigues, all of Fall River; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Rosalina Bostock, Virginia Remy, Barbara Correira, Mary Ferreira.
She was predeceased by her son Raymond Desrosiers, Jr; and her siblings, Ida Silva, Madeline Silvia, George Correira, Armand Correira, John Correira, Joe Correira, Anthony Correira, Mary Ann Correira.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 8:30 from the Auclair Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton, at 10:00 A.M.
Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
