Ellenor M. (Healey) Fanning

December 25, 1923 — August 16, 2021

Ellenor M. "Ellie" (Healey) Fanning, 97, of Fall River,  wife of the late John F. Fanning, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021.

A licensed Practical Nurse, she was employed by Union Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital, where she later volunteered in the gift shop until she was 82.  She was past president of Spencer Borden P.T.A.,past president of  Licensed Practical Nurses, District 21, Treasurer of Charlton Memorial Hospital Retirees Assn. and member of the hospital’s Auxiliary.

She leaves four children, John “Jack” Fanning (wife Jane) of Swansea, Colleen Chretien (husband Ernest) of Berkley, Richard P. Fanning (wife Anne) of Tiverton and Michael G. Fanning (wife Cindi) of Center Conway, NH, she is also survived by a brother, Richard Healey of Hilton Head, SC and her little chihuahua, Sam, who was her constant companion; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Anna (Dinn) Healey and the sister of the late Kenneth Healey, Ethel Cataldo and Genevieve Cataldo.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass  Monday at 10:30 AM at Holy Name Church.

Visitation and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Crestwood Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund, 568 Child St. Warren, RI 02885.  Arrangements entrusted to Auclair Funeral Home.
