Elaine (Lafrance) Soares

Elaine (LaFrance) Soares, 72, of Milliken Blvd. Fall River, widow of James L. Soares, died Friday, December 16, 2016. She and her husband owned and operated the former Jimmie's Restaurant, Brayton Ave. Elaine was later employed as a teacher's aide at Doran and Kuss public schools. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting, She was a member of the Amvets Woman's Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, James L. Soares, Jr. and his wife Julie of E. Freetown, grandchildren, Abigail, Megan and Tucker; siblings, Pauline Fitzgibbons and Suzanne Medeiros, both of FL and Donald LaFrance of N.H., nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Norman P. and Beatrice (Berube) LaFrance. Following cremation, a funeral mass will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Mary's Cathedral. at 10:00 A.M.
