Elaine A. Osborne

March 18, 1937 — February 26, 2025

Elaine A. (Levesque) Osborne, 87, of Tiverton, in the care of her family, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was the loving wife of John P. Osborne.

She dedicated her life to the care of others. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Anne's Hospital, and in later years at Metacom Manor Health Center. Elaine’s unwavering commitment to her patients was evident in every aspect of her professional life. She was caring, kind and her patients adored her.

Throughout her life, Elaine cultivated a variety of interests that exemplified her vibrant spirit. She embraced her passion for gardening, often creating beautiful spaces filled with colorful blooms. In addition to gardening, Elaine found joy in sewing and knitting, crafting gifts that were cherished by her family and friends. She liked to travel, and she especially enjoyed her trips to Bermuda, Hawaii and Paris. She was a devout parishioner, first at St. Madeleine’s Church (Tiverton) and in later years at St. Theresa’s Church (Tiverton).

Elaine's contributions extended well beyond her family and professional commitments. Her active involvement in her community included the Union Public Library Association where she served as Past President, the PTA at Nonquit School, and the Boy Scouts where she volunteered as a Cub Scout Den mother. She was also active in the Ladies Club at St. Madeleine's Church. These accomplishments reflect not only her leadership capabilities, but also her dedication to enriching the lives of those around her.

Elaine was a nurturing presence not only in her professional life but also within her family. She found the greatest joy in her life from raising her children with her loving husband. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was proud of her family, and she was a strong champion, advocate and influence on the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 62 years, she leaves her beloved children: Dr. Catherine Osborne DeCesare (husband Dr. Joseph DeCesare), John P. Osborne II, Dr. Matthew C. Osborne, Elizabeth Osborne (husband Patrick Hart), Patrick Osborne (wife Barbara Osborne), Gregory C. Osborne, and Jennifer Emhoff (husband Dr. Timothy Emhoff). Elaine also leaves behind a treasured legacy in her grandchildren, Catherine (Caite) DeCesare, Thomas DeCesare, Emily DeCesare, Caroline DeCesare, Mara DeCesare, John P.
