Elaine F. (O'Neil) Holland

Elaine F. (O'Neil) Holland, 94, of Fall River, wife of the late Charles "Chuck" Holland, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she was a member of the Class of 1946.

Active in her former parish, Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Elaine served as a Eucharistic Minister, church archives conservator and treasurer of the Women’s Club. She was active in the Saints Peter and Paul Parish Golden Oldies and active with Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of Saints Peter and Paul Parish and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, including being a Den Mother and leadership trainer.

She was an accomplished artist, avid swimmer, past president of the Brayton Ave. School PTA, past president of Fall River Evening Lioness Club, past president of the Fall River Carousel Lions Club.

Elaine was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. Most important to Elaine was her family.

She was the mother of Stephen Holland (wife Susan), David Holland and Matthew Holland and the late Charles Holland and Jeffrey Holland (wife Jeanne);

grandmother of Kimberly Travis Holland, William Holland (wife Laura), Jennifer Florent (husband David) and Christopher Holland (wife Catie);  great-grandmother of  River Travis and Jeffrey Florent;

sister of William F. O’Neil, Jr., Richard G. O’Neil and John “Jack” O’Neil and the late Anne Marie Walker, Robert O’Neil and Dennis O’Neil; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Elaine was the daughter of the late William F. and Margaret L. (Clark) O’Neil;

Her visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 11, at  9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. at 10:00 AM.

Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
