Eileen (Hickey) Rua

Eileen (Hickey) Rua, 82, of Somerset, wife of the late Gil S. Rua, entered into rest Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was employed by Union Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital for many years and was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Parish Seniors, Westport.

She leaves seven children, Gail Marum (husband Michael) of Westport, Brian Rua and Michael Rua (wife Denise), Gary Rua (late wife Donna) and Karen Ouellette (husband Paul) all of Fall River, Joan Rua of Middletown, RI and Nancy Rua-Lowney of Bristol, RI; grandchildren, Cara, Kyle and Kristen Marum, Brian, Jr. and Shannon Rua, Kimberly Rua, Jamie Desmarais, Austine Randy and Ellis Rua, John Medeiros, Heather and Matthew Ouellette, Fawn Correia, Samantha Pelletier, Jeffrey Murray and David Lowney; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, George Hickey of Fall River, William Hickey of Harrisburg, PA and Joyce Hickey of New Bedford and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Migneault) Hickey and the sister of the late Rita Burke.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Interment, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visitation, Thursday morning prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Rd., # 301, Framingham MA 01701.
