Edward F. Camuso, son of Frank and Evelyn (DiRenzo) Camuso, died peacefully on May 13, 2023. With him when he passed was his beloved niece, Ann Proulx Morin and her husband, John. Eddie was a man of great faith and enjoyed going to mass daily while at Catholic Memorial Home, so it was fitting for him to listen to the Chaplet of Mercy as he went to be with is sister, Ann B. (Camuso) Proulx who he missed dearly. Eddie was a well-known in Fall River as he was the proprietor of Troy City Gas on Broadway. When he retired from the gasoline business, he then went to work at Walmart in Fall River, so he could work beside his sister. Anyone who knows Eddie and Ann knew how close they were. So many were in awe of their unbreakable magical dynamic. One would not do anything without the other. In his youth, Eddie and his sister were competitive roller skaters at Lincoln Park. He was also a prize boxer in the Fall River area and a huge Elvis Presley fan. Eddie was loved by so many. He always had a kind word for many. However, his greatest attribute was his generosity and genuine kindness to others who were not as fortunate as he was. Many times, he would give free tanks of gas to others in need. Eddie was blessed in any ways and he was one to always 'pay it forward. Eddie was a father figure to many throughout his life. Although Eddie did not have any children of his own, he had a significant impact in the lives of his niece, Ann Proulx Morin, nephews Kevin Proulx and Michael Proulx. Eddie was an Uncle to many other nieces and nephews as well. Eddie also leaves behind companion of 50 years, the late Laura Roies Levesque. He also leaves behind many friends at Catholic Memorial Home. We, his family would like to thank all the nursing staff, physical therapists, activities, social workers pastoral care and housekeeping, laundry staff for caring for our uncle when we could not be there.
Arrangements are with Auclair Funeral Home. Eddie's family will be holding a private service for family at a later date.
