Edward G. "Ted" Quinn

Edward G. "Ted" Quinn, Jr., 78, of Assonet, formerly of Fall River and Westport, husband of Patricia L. (Robert) Quinn, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

A member of Msgr. Prevost High School, Class of 1956, he served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was employed by the Foxboro Company (Invensys).

A graduate of Northeastern University, he earned a degree in Electronic Engineering in 1970 and his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering in 1974. Past-president of Westport Little League, he coached many of his sons' sports teams. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed his visits to Elephant Rock Beach Club. He was forever loyal to his New England Sports Teams.

Besides his wife of 34 years, he leaves two sons, Jay Quinn and his wife Cynthia of Berkley and Jamie Quinn and his wife Karen of Lakeville; his former wife Florence (Heon) Orton of Westport; stepchildren, Pamela Turick and her husband Mark of Westport, Marcia Goodrum of Warren and George Goodrum of Assonet; grandchildren, Katrina and Evan Turick, Wren and Donovan Quinn and Lucas and Phoebe Quinn; sisters, Ruth Sullivan and her husband Charles of Westport and Barbara Gauthier and her husband Robert of Somerset and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Edward and Lillian (Dupont) Quinn.

His funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.

Visitation, Saturday afternoon prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund.
