Edward M. Lambert, Sr., 84, of Fall River, husband of Jeannette (Jalbert) Lambert, entered into rest on November 4th, 2015 Born and raised in Fall River, Mr. Lambert was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a teacher and mentor to many, an accomplished mechanic and loyal friend. He was the Lead Mechanic at the Shelburne Shirt Co. on Alden St. for twenty years and a Durfee High School Vocational Teacher for twenty-three. He attended both Prevost High School and Bristol Community College. Mr. Lambert and his wife also owned and operated the former B Z B Ceramics in Westport. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, a former Notre Dame Parish Troop 15 Scoutmaster and a St. Bernadette Parish Eucharistic Minister. Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves five sons; Edward M. Lambert, Jr. and his wife Ava of Fall River, Donald A. Lambert of Somerset and his wife Debra, Robert M. Lambert and his wife Donna of Whitingham, VT, Richard T. Lambert and his wife Karen of Milford, NH, and Thomas C. Lambert and his wife Lori Ann of Fall River; grandchildren, Colby, James, Jessica, Joshua, Kate, Jared, Abbey Rose, Aidan, Evan and Max Lambert, and Thomas and Drew Keyes; great-grandchildren, Jayson Lambert and Isabella Carvalho; a brother, Victor Lambert of Providence, RI and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Arthur and Leda (St.Amand) Lambert and the brother of the late Normand, Henry and Omer Lambert. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Bernadette Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southcoast VNA Hospice Program or the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
