Edward E. Hebert, 89, of Fall River, husband of Colette (Phenix) Hebert, entered into rest Tuesday, December 22, 2015. A Navy veteran of WW II, he had a career in the banking industry in Fall River and East Boston for many years. He enjoyed gardening and sports. As a young man he excelled as a CYO baseball player. Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves a daughter, Colleen Neville and her husband Jeffrey of Attleboro; a granddaughter, "the love of his life" Alexandra Neville of New Orleans, LA; siblings, Rita LePage of Bristol, Lauretta Conroy of Fall River, George Hebert of Swansea and Roland Hebert of Somerset; godchildren, Carol Conroy, Eileen Hallal, John Keeley, Gregory Calara and James Hebert and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Edward Hebert; the son of the late Edward and Mathilda (Doucette) Hebert and the brother of the late Cecile Fontaine, Lorraine Botelho and Albert Hebert. His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Bernadette Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown MA 02472.
