Edward M. Blythe, 65, of Main Rd., Tiverton, formerly of Paul James Dr., husband of Cynthia (D'Elia) Blythe and founder of C.S. M. Tele-Systems, Inc., died Friday, August 3, 2007.
The son of the late William and Winifred (Britland) Blythe, he lived in Tiverton for the past 33 years and in his youth resided in Fall River's Corky Row section where he was, as a member of St. Mary Cathedral Parish, a proud altar server to Bishop Connolly.
He has operated C.S. M. Tele-Systems, Inc. for the past 25 years and was previously employed by Bell Systems for 23 years. A class of 1959 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, he attended Durfee Tech, was flotilla Commander of the Tiverton Coast Guard Auxiliary, a member of the Tiverton Knights of Columbus and was a Tiverton Little League Baseball coach. An RV enthusiast, he was a member of the Newmar Kountry Klub.
Besides his wife of 39 years, he leaves sons, Stephen P. Blythe and his wife Carrie-Ann of Little Compton and Michael P. Blythe and his wife Cheri of Tiverton; grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Grace, Caitlin, Victoria and Zachary Blythe; a brother, William J. Blythe of Tiverton; a nephew, Kevin Blythe and nieces, Karen Paquette and Kimberly Kiser.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. PORTICO, LARGE PARKING AREA BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 North Halsted St. #201, Chicago IL 60622.
