Edna E. (Swindells) Banville, 96, of Pelletier Lane, Tiverton, wife and soul mate of the late Robert R. "Bob" Banville, "the love of her life", died peacefully, at home, Sunday, May 13, 2012. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1932. A floorlady, she was employed by Bayside Manufacturing for 34 years, retiring in 1977. She cherished her family and was a "second mom" to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed knitting, boating and a "can of beer". A Tiverton resident for the past 57 years, she was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late James and Louisa (Wilkinson) Swindells and the sister of the late Edith Boswell. She leaves nieces and nephews including her goddaughter and caregiver Dawn Banville of Tiverton. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday morning prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
