Edmund Moniz

Edmund Moniz, 87, of Fall River, husband of the late Marie Rose (Vieira) Moniz, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, Corporal Moniz was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5392, Tiverton. During the Korean War, he was stationed at the Iron Curtain in Germany. He was employed by the former American Tourister. An avid golfer, he was member of the Pocasset Country Club. He loved to fly and earned his private pilot license in 1957 at Narragansett Airways.

He leaves a son, Steven E. Moniz and his wife Natalia of Fall River and a granddaughter, Kristy Moniz. He was the son of the late Antone and Saltina (Lima) Moniz and the brother of the late Manny Moniz.
