Dr. Julie (Larrivee) McAlduff, 90, of Sakonnet Bay Manor, Main Rd., Tiverton, formerly of Dix Hills, Long Island, NY, wife of the late Attorney Thomas McAlduff, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph and Albertine (Trottier) Larrivee, she was an honors graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. She joined the Cadet Nurse Corps during WW II becoming a Registered Nurse. She attended Duke University where she met her husband and then relocated to Long Island. She then earned her Ph.D. in education from Columbia University and taught at colleges and universities throughout her career. She was certified by Sorbonne University, Paris, to teach the French language and was also certified in Health Education, English and Administration. She retired from teaching in 1987 from the Half Hollow Hills School District, Long Island. Julie and Tom enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the World. She is survived by a sister, Pauline Ahrens of Covington, LA, her devoted niece and caregiver Jacqueline Ciullo-King of Somerset and devoted grandniece Elizabeth Ciullo-Daniel and her husband David of Fall River. She was predeceased by five siblings and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held Monday morning at 9:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Burial, Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline, MA.
