Dr. Robert F. Brodeur

Dr. Robert F. Brodeur, 52, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, husband of Pauline (Lapointe) Brodeur and son of Loretta (Paradise) Brodeur of Westport and the late Florian S. Brodeur, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
A graduate of Westport High School, Dr. Brodeur earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1978 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and received from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979 and a Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1982.
He was a former member of the Montaup Country Club, Portsmouth, RI and the Fall River Lodge of Elks and was a recipient of the Robert J. Nagle Community Service Award.
Besides his wife and mother he leaves 2 children Ashlyn and Steven Brodeur and a brother Richard R. Brodeur and his wife Karen, all of Westport and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
