Douglas E. Cabral, 50, of Mount Hope Ave., Fall River, husband of Cheri (Cormier) Cabral, died unexpectedly, Sunday, July 20, 2008.
An employee of Gemco Electrical Co. and motorcycle enthusiast, he was formerly employed by Sakonnet Steel and was a former member of Somerset Progressive Club.
Besides his wife he leaves his mother, Margaret L. (Biello) Swanson and her husband Philip of Fall River; 2 children, Kyle Cabral of Fall River and Nicole Cabral of Swansea; 2 stepsons, Chad and Craig Braga, both of Fall River; siblings, Peggy Anne and Darleen Cabral, both of Fall River, Thomas Cabral of Westport, Philip W. Swanson of Somerset, David Swanson of Fall River and Derek Swanson of Swansea; grandchildren, Austin and Ashlyn Braga and nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Joseph Edward Cabral and the brother of the late Gary Swanson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
